Photoshop World 2018 | May 31st - June 2nd | The Hyatt Regency Orlando, Convention Level
Work Hard. Play Hard
We know that if you’re having fun you’ll learn more, connect more, and get more out of your time at Photoshop World, which is why we planned so many opportunities for you to socialize and meet new people. We all need “Photoshop friends” so we have planned several events to get attendees together in a casual and fun atmosphere to network and recharge our brains after being in classes all day. With dinners parties, the meet-up, and other inspiring nights. There is something for everyone to enjoy. Come to one or come to all! Check out all of our events below:
We kick off the conference with a fun, high-energy opening keynote from Adobe. And when Adobe takes the stage, you know you'll probably see a sneak peek of some really cool new technology or new products and the excitement sets the tone for the entire conference. You don’t want to miss it (because everybody will be talking about it)!
Drop by the Rocks Lounge—in the Hyatt Regency Orlando Hotel—to hang out and have a few drinks with the Photoshop World instructors and crew. The meet-up is held the day before the conference begins, after our In-depth workshops, and is conveniently located within our host hotel. Food & beverage available, but not included.
Live Natural Light Shoots
It was a big hit last year so we’re bringing it back again this year! We set up shooting bays, all bathed in natural light, for you to capture everything from food, flowers, models - we even have a bride for you. It’s free and included with your full conference pass.
Live Natural Light Shoot: Model Photography
Live Natural Light Shoot: Food Setup
Live Natural Light Shoot: Bride
Live Natural Light Shoot: Macro (Flower) Station
After Hours Party
Join Scott Kelby and BIG ELECTRIC CAT for the most talked about after-hours event of the conference! There's no better way to let loose and unwind after a packed day of learning. Mingle with the Photoshop World instructors and your fellow attendees while making some memories - it'll be a night to remember (plus, you can always sleep when you get home, right?). Purchase your ticket today.
The Guru Awards
The Guru Awards are a special Photoshop contest just for attendees of Photoshop World. This award ceremony was created to honor and recognize the design, photography, retouching, and creativity of our attendees. Since their humble beginnings in 1999, the Guru Awards have now become the most prestigious and coveted awards in the international digital imaging industry. Watch the video to see some of our past winners and to see what Scott Kelby, President & CEO of KelbyOne, has to say about the Gurus. Attendees may submit up to three individual pieces per category, in up to three of the following categories:
Entry pieces for this category should be original photographs that have been (optionally) edited or corrected with Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom.
Pieces you submit with your entry form in the Illustration category should be completely original works of art, which were hand-drawn or painted.
This category can include photos that have been digitally painted over, added to with 3D or vector, or have been modified with plug-ins/filters.
Designs, photos, collages, illustrations, and typography are all acceptable, as long as they convey a product or marketing message.
Composites (Montages) are collaged pieces, which are made up of a combination of elements from multiple photographic, photorealistic, or 3D sources.
Open to submissions of photography, design, or illustration. The only restriction for this category is that entries must be from registered students.
If you’re lucky enough to snag one of the 200 free tickets to this late-night event, you’re in for a hilarious evening of surprises, laughter, prizes, games and fun. Midnight Madness has become legendary among Photoshop World Alumni and it's an event you won't want to miss! Hosted by none other than the conference ringmaster himself, Scott Kelby along with special guests. Tickets are given out the morning of the event on a first come, first served basis.
Dinner With a Stranger
