Live Photography Workshops

Pre-conference workshops are a great way to kick-start your Photoshop World experience. These special workshops are only open to registered attendees of Photoshop World and require a separate fee at registration.

Legendary photographers - Moose Peterson and Joe McNally - will be taking safari participants to a special location (to be announced soon) outside of Vegas to learn how to shoot landscapes, flash photography, and work with models, plus, they'll cover the on-location techniques every photographer needs in their bag of tricks. There's no better way to learn photography than getting behind the camera shooting side by side with these two pros. Lunch included. Limited to 65 participants.

Instructors, Eddie Tapp and Jack Reznicki have so much planned for this workshop that they decided to start it two hours earlier!

Immerse yourself in what promises to be the most in-depth and hands on learning workshop from the professionals at Canon.

Start off with the finer points of lighting techniques as Jack takes you through various set ups utilizing different equipment. Then, split off into smaller groups to work with live models in the lighting set ups just created. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own cameras but Canon will also provide a wide array of cameras and lenses for you to experiment with.

After the 1pm lunch break, Eddie takes over as you open, process, review, and select your 3 best images. During this time, Eddie will be teaching you all sorts of new and interesting techniques to apply to your images in unbelievable ways. The key to this portion of the workshop is creativity because the entire class will vote on everyone's photos during the session-ending slide show and Canon will award a 40D Camera for the best overall photo!

In this special advanced Photoshop class we will cover the techniques behind layering and animating images to make lenticular stereo grams that create the illusion of 3-dimensionality. This class is specially designed for graphic designers and photographers who want to experiment, and play, in the 3rd dimension. Adobe's senior art director, the mad scientist "Dr. Brown" will guide you through this amazing adventure. Learn some advanced masking secrets of Photoshop as you create your very own lenticular poster.

All supplies necessary to create your lenticular project are included in this class. Just bring your imagination, your own layered Photoshop files, and most definitely, your own computer.

Warning! This class is definitely not for beginning Photoshop users. All participants must bring their own computer to class and they must have Adobe Photoshop CS3 installed on their computer prior to class starting. Learn to capture the moment by improving your on-location photography skills, including lighting, composition, and posing. Attendees can bring their own cameras to shoot along and they'll get a CD of their shots on the last day of the conference. The highlight will be a "road trip" where David shows you how to work with the bride and groom to produce gorgeous images with minimal equipment and time - just like a real wedding. Inside the Digital Photography Studio

In this new 4-hour expanded live shooting class, Jim will demonstrate multiple lighting setups for commercial illustration assignments in the studio. The class will include practical color management from capture to output, shooting tethered for complete control in creating the perfect exposure, using Merge to HDR and combining separate exposures, and advanced lighting techniques to create complex illustrations quickly.

What goes into a studio fashion shoot? Which light will do the best job? How do you pose for beauty and body shape? What about metering light? Makeup? Styling?
