Reaction, Inspiration & Composition

In this “fun filled” seminar, you'll learn the tricks on how to get different and interesting images. Frank Doorhof takes you from street and travel photography straight to model/fashion photography with the main focus on how to make a standard shot stand out and with some easy steps transform your standard “snaps” into something that is more spectacular. If you're wondering how to transform a standard/postcard scene to something interesting this is without a doubt the seminar for you. Topics include: Composition, including objects to enhance the image; finding the right locations; finding the right angles; making sure that something works; learning to be fast; how to handle challenges like bad weather, etc.; seeing the light; and much more.

Measuring, Manipulating & Controlling Light

In this intense seminar, you'll see how to work with simple tools (mostly one light) to create images that always have people wondering, “How did he do this?” No secrets will be withheld! Learn how to create images with impact and power with mostly one lightsource and without the “need” for Photoshop. Topics discussed include: Direction of light, finding angles, use of lightmeter and colorcheckers to get a correct base, position choices, coaching the model, learning to see the light, differences are in inches (and less) not in feet, creating high contrast portraits in a second and more.
