Eleven days til Photoshop World!
If this is your first PSW, you’ll be happy to know that we’ve added a special new orientation session for newcomers. I asked NAPP’s director, Larry Becker, to tell you more about it so… Take it away Larry!
One of the things we’ve noticed over the past few Photoshop Worlds is that we’re seeing all kinds of fresh, new faces. Sure, lots of folks are coming back for the fourth or fifth time, but around forty percent of the attendees are first time attendees, and Scott came up with the idea of giving them a first-timer’s guide to Photoshop World.
There are just so many events and little details that it’s helpful to first time attendees to have a set of information on special things they should look for or try to get to. The other great thing is that there will be time for questions.
I’m really proud of our communications staff because they’ve really improved the Photoshop World messaging over the years. There’s a regular e-newsletter about the event, we have a blog, there’s info on Twitter, and we even have a news feed piped into our new Photoshop World iPhone app. Still, in spite of all this great communication, some people learn better by hearing things in person, and some people will have questions. The orientation is the answer for these folks. And the orientation is being taught by one of about a dozen people who have been to every single Photoshop World ever… me.
Thanks Larry! The PSW Orientation session takes place on Tuesday, March 23 (pre con workshop day) at 3:15pm and 5:15pm in room N320 E-H. Since we’re sure there will be first-time attendees taking a workshop, we are running this orientation twice. This orientation is free and although it’s more for first-timers, any registered PSW attendee is welcome to attend.
